Why Cuba is a strong destination
Cuba remains one of the Caribbean’s great cultural destinations: Havana’s Malecón and Habana Vieja, Trinidad and the Valley of the Sugar Mills, Viñales’ mogotes, and a live-music scene that sells itself. It is a classic for groups and special-interest travel, and still under-served as a fly-drive and east-coast beach combine. APITT’s Caribbean brief is to keep it in front of trade that has drifted to easier islands.
- Havana — Malecón, Habana Vieja and a capital that photographs itself
- Trinidad and the Valley of the Sugar Mills (UNESCO)
- Viñales for tobacco country and limestone landscapes
- Music, dance and a group-travel product with real depth
